Hyderabad, June 9, 2026: Salesforce, the world's leading AI CRM company, today announced a landmark commitment to equip one million learners across India with AI-focused skills by 2030. The announcement coincides with the 10th anniversary of Salesforce India's Centre of Excellence (CoE), underscoring the company's continued investment in innovation, talent development, and India's digital future.

The initiative aims to prepare India's workforce for the rapidly evolving AI economy by going beyond digital literacy and providing future-ready skills through Trailhead, Salesforce's free online learning platform. The program brings together academic institutions, government agencies, and industry leaders to create an inclusive and scalable AI skilling ecosystem.

As part of this commitment, Salesforce is collaborating with government-backed initiatives such as IndiaAI and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to provide AI-focused training to emerging talent. The company is also expanding its Virtual Internship Program in partnership with AICTE, enabling students across India to gain practical project experience and develop job-ready Salesforce and AI skills.

Salesforce is further strengthening its Academic Centers of Excellence through partnerships with institutions including the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), providing students with hands-on exposure to Salesforce technologies and artificial intelligence. These initiatives are designed to democratize access to advanced technology education and create meaningful career opportunities.

In addition, Salesforce's partner ecosystem—including Accenture, Deloitte, Grant Thornton Bharat, Infosys, PwC, and TCS—will continue to play a crucial role by offering structured training programs, mentorship, and real-world project exposure, creating direct pathways to employment within the Salesforce ecosystem.

Speaking on the occasion, Arundhati Bhattacharya, President and CEO, Salesforce South Asia, said, "India has earned its place at the center of the global technology story—not by following trends, but by shaping them. As we mark ten years of our Centre of Excellence, I am reminded that our greatest achievements have been the people we have empowered along the way. Our commitment to skill one million learners by 2030 reflects a firm belief that India's workforce is not just ready for the AI economy—it is ready to lead it."

Buddha Chandrasekhar, Chief Coordinating Officer, AICTE, Ministry of Education, said, "India's transition into a global digital and AI powerhouse will depend on how effectively we prepare our students and workforce for the future of work. Industry-academia collaborations play a critical role in bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world innovation. Our partnership with Salesforce reflects a shared commitment to building an industry-ready talent pipeline equipped with digital, cloud, data, and AI capabilities."
