HMAT's HomeoFest2K25 Celebrates 270th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann

Hyderabad, April 30, 2025 – In celebration of the 270th birth anniversary of the founder of homeopathy, Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, the Homeopathic Medical Association of Telangana (HMAT) organized a one-day HomeoFest2K25 on Wednesday at the Institution of Engineers Auditorium, Khairatabad.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. P.V. Nandakumar Reddy, Vice Chancellor of KNR Health University, and Sri V.V. Lakshminarayana, former Joint Director of the CBI, who lit the ceremonial lamp and paid floral tributes to the portraits of Dr. Hahnemann and Dr. N. Ramaiah.
Dr. K. Gopalakrishna, President of HMAT, and Dr. G. Durga Prasad Rao, General Secretary, stated that the objective of HomeoFest2K25 was to foster clinical skills, creativity, and a spirit of healthy competition among homeopathic students.
A highlight of the event was the felicitation of renowned homeopath and former Additional Director of Homeopathy, Dr. Siva Shankar Kunapareddy, for his contributions to the field.
Dr. G. Janardhan Reddy, veteran homeopath and former Additional Director, delivered a special address on “Selecting Homeopathic Remedies through Gestures”, followed by the Dr. N. Ramaiah Memorial Oration delivered by Dr. Vybhav Jain from Indore, who spoke on Agro Homeopathy.
Students from all homeopathic medical colleges across Telangana actively participated in various academic and creative competitions including scientific sessions, poster presentations, reels, live materia medica, slogan writing, and quiz contests. Winners were awarded during the valedictory function.
The prestigious Dr. Hahnemann Awards were presented to the final year BHMS toppers from each participating college.
The valedictory ceremony was graced by Dr. Samudrala Venugopala Chary, Former Union Minister, and Maruthi, renowned film director and screenplay writer, who awarded prizes to the winners. The principals of the respective homeopathic colleges were present as guests of honour.
Other key HMAT members who played pivotal roles in organizing the event include Vice Presidents Dr. K.S. Gupta, Dr. Anand Rao Mengji, Dr. Madhu Varanasi, Dr. Manik Prabhu, Treasurer Dr. Venugopal Gowri, Organizing Secretaries Dr. R. Gautam and Dr. Chamundeshwari, Dr. N.S. Raghuram (sponsor of the oration), Joint Secretaries Dr. Ganesh Achry, Dr. M. Annapurna, Dr. R. Saisruthi, along with other Governing Council members, faculty, students, and practitioners.
