Vascular & Endovascular Surgeons Conduct Awareness Program

Hyderabad, 4th April, 2026: The Telangana Society of Vascular and Endovascular Surgeons organized an awareness program focusing on Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) and Pulmonary Embolism (PE), highlighting issues related to vein disorders in the legs.
As part of the initiative, a friendly cricket league was conducted to spread awareness in an engaging manner. The event took place on Sunday at Lakeside League Sports Café, Manikonda, under the aegis of the society, comprising vascular surgeons from across the city.
The program emphasized the importance of daily physical activity and urged individuals to consult a vascular surgeon immediately if they experience symptoms such as leg swelling or blood clots in veins. Early diagnosis and timely treatment were strongly advocated.
Film actor Rajeev Kanakala attended the event as the chief guest and actively participated in the friendly cricket match along with the doctors. Speaking on the occasion, he stressed that everyone should take their health seriously. He noted that DVT and PE are serious conditions and, if neglected, can lead to severe complications, including the risk of limb loss. He advised seeking medical consultation at an early stage for appropriate treatment.
Prominent vascular surgeons including Dr. Panjala Ramakrishna, Dr. Prem Chand Gupta, Dr. Nishan Reddy, Dr. Devender Singh, Dr. Vasanth Reddy, Dr. Gnaneshwar, and Dr. Nihar Ranjan Pradhan participated in the awareness program.
Trophies were presented as part of the friendly cricket match conducted during the event.
