Hyderabad, October 19, 2019: The 3 days India’s largest exhibition on the pet care industry is fast gearing up to be held from November 1 to 3, 2019 at Hitex in Hyderabad.
Addressing a press conference Mr. Sambit Mund, General Manager, Business Development, Hitex; Dr. Subhash Babu, President of The Hyderabad Canine Club; Mr.Philip Butt, Honorary Secretary of The Hyderabad Canine Club; Dr. Jiyaul Hoque, National Manager with Pedigree; Mr. Shaquib Pathan of Feline Club of India here in the city at HITEX, informed that this will be jointly organized by The Hyderabad Canine Club and Hyderabad International Trade Expositions Ltd(Hitex).
Three events will be held in one place. These include One-stop Expo for Pet Industry in India; the Asia Pacific & HyCan International Championship Dog Shows; FCI Cat Show.
The show will showcase 500 plus dogs of more than 50 breeds and rare breeds both Indian and Foreign. Nearly 200 Cats will also be showcased. It is also the Silver Jubilee Year of the Hyderabad Canine Club. This is the first time The Asia, Africa and Ocean show is organized in India at Hyderabad. It is a truly international show. More than 10 International Judges from 7 countries will take part. Nearly 50,000 visitors are expected. A National Convention of Feline Club of India will also be held here during the three days on November 2, 2019.
Dr. Jiyaul Hoque, National Manager with Pedigree said there are two crore pet dogs are there in India. Near Rs 1200crore worth of Dog Food is sold in India every year. Dogs which are supposed to be outside home have into the inside home. And need to be fed well. This is driving the growth of the dog food, he shared.
Jointly organized by HITEX and The Hyderabad Canine Club, PETEX INDIA is India’s largest exhibition on pet care products and services. The event is a successful platform for national and international pet care companies to showcase their products, interact with customers, peers, veterinarians and experts from the industry, enhance brand awareness and build business collaborations.

At the three-day event, Indian and global pet care companies will showcase their products such aspetfood & nutrition, pet pharmaceuticals, pet grooming and allied segments to over 50,000 visitors that include pet care businesses, pet owners and pet care experts and enthusiasts.
Concurrent events Asia Africa Oceania Dog Shows, HyCan International Championship Dog Shows, India Grooming Show and FCI Cat Show make PETEX INDIA’19 an event catering to wide audience from the pet care segment.
Asia Africa Oceania Dog Show and HyCan Championship Dog Show (HyCan’19) are FCI (World Canine Organization) regulated dog shows organized by The Hyderabad Canine Club. Over 600 dogs of various breeds will participate in competitions and championships adjudged by international judges. The dog shows will also have obedience trials and dog sports demonstrations.
Feline Club of India (FCI) has partnered with PETEX INDIA’19 and will organize FCI Cat Show. FCI Cat Show will have competitions featuring cats of various breeds adjudged by international judges, cat grooming sessions led by experts and feline convention for cat parents and cat fanciers. Topics in the sessions include cat health and hygiene, breed orientation and Do’s and Dont's of cat care presented by eminent cat care experts.
The third edition of India Grooming Show organized by ABK Imports will feature grooming competitions with participation of groomers from across India. The competitions will be adjudged by eminent grooming judges from the USA. India Grooming Show is an effective
platform for dog groomers to interact with each other and learn new skills and trends. The show will also feature educational and awareness sessions on dog grooming and pet care.
PETEX INDIA’19 will be an important window that opens up to an ecosystem that creates essential breakthroughs for the pet care market in India while presenting a delightful experience for visitors.
