P.V. Narasimha Rao Memorial Charitable Trust Felicitates Over 200 Organizations for Championing Voluntary Blood Donation Across Telangana

Hyderabad, June 28, 2025: On the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Shri P.V. Narasimha Rao Garu, the Shri P.V. Narasimha Rao Memorial Charitable Trust organized a grand felicitation ceremony in Hyderabad to honor over 200 organizations that have played a pivotal role in promoting voluntary blood donation across Telangana.
The ceremony was graced by Shri D. Sridhar Babu Garu, Hon’ble Minister for IT, Industries & Commerce, Government of Telangana, as Chief Guest, and Shri G. Vivekanand Garu, Hon’ble Minister for Labour, Employment, Training and Factories, as Guest of Honour.
Established in memory of the visionary statesman, the Trust has, over the last 8 years, achieved significant milestones:
Conducted 350+ blood donation camps
Collected 13,000+ units of blood
Distributed 26,000+ blood components to patients statewide
Operated 24/7 blood banking services, saving lives in both urban and rural regions
Landmark Initiatives Announced:
Mission 365 – Encouraging organizations to hold blood donation camps on at least three fixed dates annually, ensuring consistent blood availability.
Mission 1 Crore – A nationwide drive to create a centralized database of individuals registered as voluntary blood donors.
The event also spotlighted the growing CSR support from partners such as HDFC Bank, Indian Oil Corporation, and Lytus Blod, which has enhanced capabilities in logistics, equipment, and smart blood delivery systems.
Looking ahead, the Trust announced plans to:
Establish blood banks in every district of Telangana
Launch a 24x7 Transfusion & Diagnostic Centre
