Follow social distancing and turn away Covid-19: DICCI Coordinator

Hyderabad March 29, 2020: Stressing that Covid-19 is one of the deadly viral diseases that is infecting lakhs of people across the world, Somasekhar, Dalit Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industries (DICCI) District Coordinator from Gadwal called up on the general public and urged them the only way to contain the spread of this disease is by following proper discipline of social distancing and personal hygiene.

“We are in a peculiar and most emergent healthcare situation. Many have coined the term social distancing to avoid the spread of the virus from human to human. In my opinion instead of Social distancing, it is better we come out with the new slogan of ‘Physical distancing’ because the real meaning of social distancing is keeping one’s physical presence away at a distance to the other person. The word social distancing which is already present in the society is giving wrong notions and may lead to misinterpretation among the various communities and public in the society. So it is the responsibility of each and every one of us to maintain physical distance and keep our selves at home to curtain the spread of the disease,” said the DICCI district coordinator, while giving a call the public to play their social role in containing the spread of the virus.
