Mahbubnagar March 21, 2021: A financial aid of Rs. 30,000 was provided to a new born infant, by Ravi Rural Health and Educational Development Society at a programme in Mahabubnagar.
As part of the programme to help the poor people in the rural areas suffering with healthcare issues, the Ravi Rural Health and Educational Development Society, lead by its Chairman Dr. Shekhar has been
providing financial aid to the Children suffering with acute and severe problems.
Taking the initiative forward, when Dr.Shekhar, came to know about the couple Shashirekha and Mahesh residents of Chinnaporla village in Utkoor mandal of Narayanpet had their first baby girl born with very low weight of just 1.130 kgs and suffering with a heart ailment (having a hole in the heart), and after learning that the parents of the infant were very poor unable to bear the high treatment cost, the Doctor extended a financial aid of Rs. 30,000 towards the treatment cost.
“Preliminary tests and detailed diagnosis revealed that the infant baby girl was suffering due to a hole in the heart because of which she was having a very low weight. We conducted blood tests and found culture positive in her blood. The infant needed ventilator treatment and blood infusion regularly and later on underwent treatment for 28 days and successfully cured. As part of our hospital policy we provided the financial aid to the poor parents of the baby and extended a helping hand to them from our Society,” said Dr. Shekhar.
