Hyderabad, May 28, 2026: ASSOCHAM organized the 10th Smart Datacenters & Cloud Infrastructure Summit 2026 at Hotel Trident, Hyderabad, focusing on “Accelerating Telangana: Powering India’s Digital Economy through Data Centers, AI & Cloud.”
Speaking at the summit, Mr. Nikhil Chakravarthi J (IA&AS), Commissioner/Director of Industries, Government of Telangana, said the state is committed to building world-class digital infrastructure with reliable power, sustainable resources, and a strong innovation ecosystem to support India’s digital future.
Industry leaders highlighted Telangana’s rapid emergence as a preferred destination for AI-ready data centers, cloud infrastructure, and sustainable digital growth.
Dr. Lovneesh Chanana of SAP Asia said Telangana is well-positioned to lead the next phase of AI-driven growth and autonomous enterprises.
Mr. Jatinder Singh Pabla of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres stated that Telangana’s policy clarity and infrastructure readiness make it a strong leader in the next wave of AI and data center expansion.
Mr. Amit Agrawal of Techno Digital appreciated the Telangana Government’s support in building a resilient digital economy and AI-ready infrastructure.
Mr. Sunny Tathele of AdaniConneX said India’s renewable energy growth and digital scale place it at the center of the global AI revolution.
Mr. Sharad Agarwal of Sify Infinit Spaces emphasized the importance of intellectual sovereignty and praised Telangana’s forward-looking policies.
Mr. Chandra Shekar Sarma Garimela of CtrlS said Telangana is accelerating AI, cloud, and data center growth to support India’s long-term economic vision.
Mr. Rambabu Boorugu of Pranava Group noted that Hyderabad is uniquely positioned to lead India’s digital economy through AI, cloud computing, and sustainable infrastructure.
During a fireside chat, Shri Navin Mittal, IAS, Special Chief Secretary, Department of Energy, Government of Telangana, said the state recorded nearly 10% growth in peak power demand and is rapidly strengthening its energy ecosystem to support industries and AI-driven digital infrastructure.
The summit also featured discussions on AI governance, green data centers, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, energy resilience, and digital workforce readiness.
Col. Saurabh Sanyal, Secretary General, ASSOCHAM, said the summit reaffirmed ASSOCHAM’s commitment to strengthening India’s digital economy through collaboration between government, industry, and technology stakeholders.
