Hyderabad, 16th August 2025: The South India Culinary Association (SICA) hosted its prestigious Elite Masterclass Series — Hot Food Plating & Pastry Arts at The Park Hotel, Hyderabad, as part of its nationwide workshop initiative across Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Cochin. This high-impact program is designed to groom the next generation of international, medal-winning chefs with world-class plating artistry and pastry mastery.

The Hyderabad session, held from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, was spearheaded locally by Chef Sudhakar N Rao, Vice President of the Hyderabad chapter, and Chef Vikram Simha, Board Member. Special support was extended by Mr. Garcha, General Manager of The Park Hotel, for providing the venue.

The training was led by world-renowned Chef Trainers — Chef Suresh Khanna, Board Member of South India Chefs Association and Chef Guild of Sri Lanka, along with Chef D.J. Manjula, Chef Gayan Basnayake, and Chef Ravindra Jinadasa. Their hands-on sessions provided aspiring culinarians with competition-ready techniques and performance-driven insights to elevate them onto global platforms.

Padma Shri Chef Damodaran, President of SICA, and Chef Sheetaram Prasad, Secretary of SICA, emphasized the importance of this career-defining opportunity and encouraged ambitious chefs to seize the benefits of such transformative programs.

SICA continues to uphold its mission of empowering the chef fraternity through year-round initiatives — training champions, one workshop at a time.
