Dr. Rajesham Adepu Honoured with Best TB Elimination Officer Award–2026 on World TB Day

Hyderabad, March 24, 2026: On the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day, the Telangana Citizens Council (TCC) organized an Awareness Lecture on Tuberculosis Prevention at the TB Office, DMHS Campus, Koti, Hyderabad on Tuesday, highlighting the importance of awareness, early detection, and effective treatment in eliminating tuberculosis.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of the prestigious Best TB Elimination Officer Award–2026 to Dr. Rajesham Adepu, State TB Officer and Joint Director (TB), Government of Telangana State, in recognition of his outstanding contribution and dedicated efforts towards TB eradication.

Dr. B. Ravinder Naik, Director of Public Health & Family Welfare, Government of Telangana, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and lauded Dr. Rajesham Adepu for his remarkable service in strengthening TB control initiatives across the state.

On this occasion, Dr. Rajesham Adepu felicitated the Chief Guest Dr. B. Ravinder Naik, as a mark of respect. K. Ravinder, Community Health Officer (PHC), Kandukur, was also felicitated for his services in the field of public health.

Justice Vaman Rao Deshpande, Retired High Court Judge and Former Chairman of the A.P. Administrative Tribunal, attended as the Special Guest and emphasized the need for collective responsibility and community participation to achieve a TB-free society.

The program was presided over by Dr. M. Rajnarayan Mudiraj, President of Telangana Citizens Council (TCC). Dr. B. Sai Kiran and Sri K. Ravinder, President of Telangana Vedic Maths Forum and Guinness World Record Holder, were also present at the event.
