Culinary Academy of India Gears Up for Another World Record in Begumpet Begumpet, Hyderabad

Hyderabad, 22^nd December 2025: The Culinary Academy of India (CAI), Begumpet, which has already achieved five world records, is now set to create yet another remarkable milestone. This time, the academy showcased the brilliance of India’s age-old culinary heritage through a unique and inspiring initiative.

As part of a special programme titled “Paramparagatha Paaka Kala”, organised on the occasion of Christmas, students recreated traditional recipes once prepared by our forefathers. The event highlighted not just the cuisine of one state, but famous traditional dishes from various states across India, reflecting the country’s rich and diverse food culture.

A total of 104 students prepared 104 traditional dishes, making the event truly exceptional. What made it even more special was that the dishes were cooked exactly in the way they were prepared in ancient times — without using gas stoves. Instead, students used firewood stoves, husk stoves, mud pots, and sand-based cooking methods, offering a live demonstration of ancestral cooking techniques.

Speaking on the occasion, CAI Chairman Mr. Sudhakar Rao stated that such an event, where over a hundred traditional dishes are prepared simultaneously by more than a hundred people, has never been attempted anywhere in the world. He expressed happiness that ancient recipes, once cooked without oil and with natural methods, are now being researched and revived by the younger generation. He also expressed confidence that this effort would earn yet another world record for the academy.

The programme witnessed the presence of renowned chef masters from various regions, along with students’ parents. All the attendees appreciated the students for their dedication and applauded their efforts after witnessing the preparation methods and the authenticity of the dishes.
