Nagarkurnool, July 19, 2025: In a major boost to rural education infrastructure, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is scheduled to visit Jataprolu village in Pentlavelli mandal of Kollapur constituency on Friday to lay the foundation stone for the prestigious Young India Integrated Residential School.
The school, to be constructed at a cost of ₹150 crore, marks a significant step towards providing quality, corporate-level educational facilities to students from underprivileged and rural backgrounds.
This initiative is part of the Congress government’s larger vision to set up one integrated gurukula school in each constituency across Telangana, ensuring equal opportunities for all students irrespective of their socio-economic background. The proposed school at Jataprolu is the first of its kind under this plan and will accommodate nearly 2,000 students from BC, SC, ST, and other marginalized communities.
The Young India Integrated Residential School will be built with modern infrastructure, smart classrooms, science and computer labs, a digital library, dormitories, playgrounds, and dining facilities – all designed to offer holistic development and a nurturing environment for students from rural areas. The project aims not only to provide quality education but also to reduce the gap between urban and rural learning opportunities.

Ahead of the Chief Minister’s visit, Excise, Tourism, Culture, and Youth Welfare Minister Jupally Krishna Rao visited the site and reviewed the arrangements. Speaking to the media, he said, “The Congress government is committed to uplifting the education sector in Telangana. This school will be a model for integrated rural education and a symbol of our government’s focus on empowering the youth.”
The CM’s visit is expected to draw a large number of people from Kollapur and nearby regions. District Collector Badavath Santhosh, who is overseeing the preparations, assured that all arrangements have been made for the CM’s tour, including safety measures, logistics, and crowd management.
In addition to the school foundation ceremony, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will also participate in various welfare programs during his visit. As part of the Indira Mahila Shakti scheme, he will distribute interest-free loan cheques worth ₹6.3 crore to women from Self Help Groups (SHGs), supporting them in their entrepreneurial journeys.
Further, ₹41 crore worth of bank linkage cheques will be handed over to SHG beneficiaries, strengthening their financial stability. The CM will also distribute Rythu Bheema and Accident Bheema cheques to families of deceased farmers from the region, reflecting the government’s commitment to stand by the farming community in times of distress.
The launch of the Young India Integrated Residential School is seen as a game-changer for rural education in Nagarkurnool district. It not only brings hope to thousands of families but also reinforces the state government’s mission to build a strong, educated, and empowered generation.
