Hyderabad, May 22, 2025: The Telangana Sarpanchs’ Association Joint Action Committee (JAC) State President, Survi Yadayya Goud, stated that the recent announcement by the government regarding the release of Rs. 153 crores is misleading. He clarified that the released funds pertain to SDF (Special Development Fund) and are meant for contractors’ bills, not for the pending bills of Sarpanchs who carried out developmental works in villages.

Despite several Sarpanchs having committed suicide and many others staging protests due to non-payment of dues, the government’s claims provide no real relief to the affected Sarpanchs. He urged immediate payment of the pending bills for developmental works completed under Gram Panchayats.

The JAC raised the following demands:

  1. Release SFC funds for developmental works carried out under Gram Panchayats with MB records and check measurements certified by AE/DE officials.

  2. Sanction bills for works completed with Panchayat governing body resolutions.

  3. Clear all pending MNREGS bills without further delay.

  4. Pay all pending bills due to Sarpanchs and provide financial support to them.

The JAC emphasized that the government must not adopt a vindictive attitude towards the Sarpanchs. Complete data of pending dues to Sarpanchs is already available with the government, and it should ensure full and timely release of funds to support these grassroots leaders.

Prominent leaders present at the program included JAC General Secretary Rampaka Nagayya, Vice President Keshaboyina Mallayya, Treasurer Pudoori Naveen Goud, and leader Baswapuram Anjaiah Goud.
