Hyderabad, December 3rd, 2025: On the occasion of the 29th Death Anniversary of Dr. M. Channa Reddy, the Dr. M. Channa Reddy Memorial Trust organized a successful blood donation camp at the Dr. Marri Channa Reddy Memorial Rock Garden, Indira Park, Hyderabad. The camp was executed in collaboration with Aarohi Blood Bank and the Thalassemia & Sickle Cell Society Blood Bank.
Children suffering from Thalassemia require blood transfusions every 2–3 weeks due to chronically low hemoglobin levels, and thousands of such children rely on consistent voluntary blood donations. The Trust has been conducting this life-saving initiative for years, and support continues to grow annually. This year, the event registered a strong response with 150 donors voluntarily contributing to the cause.
The program was coordinated by Mr. Krishna Reddy on behalf of the Trust. The event was graced by Smt. Vasudha Devi, Sri Sudarshan Reddy, Mrs. Nirvana, Ms. Kavya, Ms. Savithri, Mr. Shashidhar Reddy, Mr. Ravinder Reddy, along with senior followers, well-wishers of Dr. M. Channa Reddy, and officials from the participating blood banks.
The initiative received enthusiastic support from youth volunteers and members of NGOs including AV College NCC & NSS, Online Blood Donors (OBD), Rajmata Foundation, ASWA, Janma Foundation, Yuva Seva, Youth For Seva, STASS, Asya Foundation, and members of civil society, making it a significant annual community-driven humanitarian effort.
The day also featured a bhajan session at Dr. M. Channa Reddy Garu’s samadhi.
