Hyderabad, October 17, 2025: Udai Omni Hospital organized a 5K Walk on the occasion of World Spine Day and World Trauma Day to raise awareness about spine and trauma-related health issues. The initiative reflects the hospital’s mission to provide advanced medical services equally to people, including the underprivileged and middle-class communities. The walk commenced on Friday morning from the Udai Omni Hospital premises at Chapel Road, Nampally.

The walk was flagged off by renowned Spine Surgeon Dr. Raghav Dutt. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Dutt mentioned that nearly 80 percent of people worldwide suffer from spine-related problems. He emphasized that diabetes, obesity, lack of physical exercise, and sedentary lifestyle are among the major contributing factors. He also noted that software professionals, due to prolonged sitting and excessive mobile phone usage, are increasingly facing spinal issues.

Dr. Raghav Dutt advised that regular physical activities such as exercise, yoga, swimming, and walking can help individuals maintain good spinal health and overall fitness.

Senior Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Uday Prakash and Senior General Physician Dr. Srirang Abkari expressed concern over the rising cases of obesity and spine disorders, even among younger age groups. They stated that the walk was organized to create public awareness about these growing health challenges.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Udai Omni Hospital Unit Head Mr. M. Rajkumar, Dr. Pavan Kumar, Dr. Krishna Narayan, along with several other doctors and hospital staff members.
