
Hyderabad, 24th Januarary 2023: Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Culture Arjun Ram Meghwal said that India, which is the 5th largest economy in the world, will become the third economic power by 2030. He said that our country will be number one by 2047. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) 2023 graduation ceremony was held at Shilpakalvedika, Madapur on Tuesday. Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, who was the chief guest of the program, distributed diplomas to the students who completed the CA course. Later he said that the role of Chartered Accountants (CA) is very important in the protection of the country's economy. When the Goods and Services Tax (GST) was introduced in the country, the efforts made by the CAs in not only creating awareness about it but also clearing their misconceptions and doubts are commendable. He said that when GST was introduced, the collection was 8 lakh crores but now it has reached 18 lakh crores. He said that ICAI should also participate in the meetings of G-20 countries where discussions are held on the global economic situation. ICAI president Debashis Mitra said that 42 percent of the students who wrote and passed the highly difficult CA exams were female students. Everyone who is starting a career as a Chartered Accountant is advised to follow the values of the profession and work with dedication. He said that India has achieved global recognition in the field of accountancy. They want CAs to be partners in nation building. ICAI Vice President Aniket Sunil Talati said that ICAI has conducted the Chartered Accountant exams very efficiently. He said that 14500 students who have completed the CA course this year have been held a graduation ceremony simultaneously in different parts of the country and distributed degrees. ICAI Council members Sridhar Muppala, ICAI representatives Sushil Kumar Goyal, Prasanna Kumar and others were present in this program.
