
Hyderabad,22 August 2022: National Association of Bulk Drug Manufacturers Association (India) representing the Bulk Drug Manufacturers was established about thirty years back and played a pivotal role in promoting bulk drug industry and in particular making the erstwhile AP state as the Drug capital of India. BDMA in association with Department Of Pharmaceuticals, Govt. of India and Government of Telangana organized a Outreach programme on Strengthening of Pharmaceutical Industries scheme and Recent advances in Good Manufacturing practices 2022.
Collaborating partners of the program are Drug regulating agencies such as CDSCO- Central Drug Standards Control Organization&DCA – Drug Control Administration Telangana.
NIPER- National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Hyderabad, Pharmexcil and SIDBI- Small scale Industries Development Board of India arealso collaborating to promote Industry academia collaboration & export of Pharmaceuticals by strengthening the quality infrastructure in Pharmaceutical companies with Focus on MSME.

A Technical session on recent advances in Good manufacturing practices 2022 post Covid Challenges & Opportunities is also part of the seminar. Experts from Drug Regulating agencies & from Industries will deliver talk on different aspects of Good manufacturing Practicesto the Benefit of Pharma Industry in General & MSME in Particular
Shri T. Harish RaoGaru, HonorableMinister for Finance, Medical, and Health& Family Welfare had inaugurated the event in august presence of Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce, Telangana, Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Telangana, Joint Secretary, Dept. of Pharma, GOI DrYuvaraj, DDC-CDSCO, DCA, Representatives from SIDBI,NIPER and Pharmexcil. The inaugural session started at 10 am on 20th August at NIPER –Hyderabad.
Telangana State intends to maintain its pioneer status in the country for the manufacture of bulk drugs, intermediates and pharmaceuticals. It is being contemplated to create new industrial estate “Hyderabad Pharma City” with world class infrastructure and support facilities on an area of 16000 acres. With support and initiatives from Government of India and Telangana State, India is poised to become a global leader in APIs and Telangana to become a Global Pharma Hub.
