Hyderabad, August 04, 2023: HIPLEX, international Plastic Expo 2023, South and Central India’s biggest Expo is being under in the city at Hitex for four days from 4th to 7th August 2023. This exhibition comes after 8 years in a new avatar as HIPLEX in the place of the previous version IPLEX.
It was formally inaugurated by Mr E. Venkat Narsimha Reddy, IAS - VC & MD, TSIIC, Govt of Telangana along with other dignitaries.

The Chief Guest Mr E. Venkat Narsimha Reddy, said TS iPass is an act is a landmark decision of the Government of Telangana. It provides speedy processing for the issue of various licenses required for setting up industries. Under it we have approved 24000 industry proposals in the past eight and half years.
The first plastic park is sold out. If you want the second one, TSIIC is ready to provide the land. Please come with your proposal. TAPMC can develop all issues related to allotment etc so as to enable them to accommodate MSMEs.
Mr. D Chandra Sekhar, Addl Development Commissioner said Hyderabad is a hub for the plastic industry. He said the MSE Ministry extended funding support to 60 MSMEs to participate in the expo.
Mr Prabh Das, MD & CEO, HMEL said plastics are not a problem, but their disposal is a problem and we must collectively do something to address this menace. The only way out is to recycle, and reuse.

Today, India is the 3rd largest consumer of Plastics after the USA and China and is continuously growing at a CAGR of 6 to 7%.
The show is supported by the Telangana government. CIPET, Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET), a Government of India establishment; All India Plastic Manufacturers Association (AIPMA); Organisation of Plastics Processors of India (OPP) that works for the healthy growth of the plastics processing Industry in India; Material Recycling Association of India, an apex organisation representing rapidly growing recycling industry
The other supporting bodies include the Plastindia Foundation, the apex body of the major associations, organisations and institutions connected with plastics, with common objectives to promote the development of the plastics industry; Indian Plastics Institution, a strong Professional Body of Industrialists, Plastic Technologists, Academicians, Economists and Students; Indian Plastics Federation, the torch-bearer of plastics industry and trade and Plastic Manufacturers Associations of Tamil Nadu, Gujarat

The four-day show is being rganized by Telangana And Andhra Plastics Manufacturers Association (TAPMA) is expected to the general business of INR 500 crore,Nearly 50,000 footfalls are expected.
The organiser TAAPMA is a 54 years old trade body. It was founded in 1969.
It has 12500 members of which 10,000 are from Telangana and 2500 from Andhra Pradesh. It has just bagged FTCCI’s Excellence Award in recognition of its contribution to the growth of the trade and industry.
