Telangana Tamil Sangam Celebrates 7th Annual Day & Pongal Vizha with Grandeur

Hyderabad, 03rd January 2026: Telangana Tamil Sangam (Regd. No. 781) successfully celebrated its 7th Annual Day – Mupperum Vizha along with Pongal Vizha – Tamilar Kalai Vizha with great enthusiasm and cultural fervour at Hari Hara Kala Bhavan, Secunderabad, on Sunday.
The grand event was organized by Telangana Tamil sangam and witnessed an overwhelming response from the Tamil community across Telangana. The celebration showcased the richness of Tamil language, culture, art, music, and traditional performances, truly reflecting the spirit of the theme “Rise by Tamil!!”
The programme was graced by Thiru. Bandaru Dattatreya, Former Governor of Haryana & Himachal Pradesh and Former Union Minister, as the Chief Guest, who lauded the efforts of the Sangam in preserving and promoting Tamil culture outside Tamil Nadu.
The event was further dignified by the presence of Guests of Honour,
Thiru. Burra Venkatesham, IAS, Chairman, Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC), and Thiru. R. V. Karnan, IAS, Commissioner, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Bhavani IAS , Shiva Shankar IPS,who appreciated the cultural unity and social contribution of the Tamil community in Telangana.
The celebrations featured captivating cultural performances by artists and participants, drawing applause from the audience and creating a festive Pongal atmosphere.
The event was organized under the leadership of Thiru. M. K. Bose, President; Thiru. P. Dharmaseelan, Vice President; Thiru. S. Rajkumar, General Secretary; and Thiru. N. Nehru Sastry, Treasurer and M.S. Vijayakumar Event Coordinator and all Executive Members collective efforts ensured the grand success of the programme.
Telangana Tamil Sangam expressed heartfelt gratitude to all dignitaries, performers, volunteers, sponsors, and attendees for making the 7th Annual Day celebrations a memorable and meaningful cultural milestone.
