Telangana Mountaineer Padamati Anvitha Scales Mt. Denali, Completes Sixth Summit in Prestigious Seven Summits Challenge

Hyderabad, June 20, 2026: Indian mountaineer Padamati Anvitha has successfully summited Mt. Denali (6,190 metres), the highest peak in North America, on June 19, 2026, achieving a significant milestone in her quest to complete the renowned Seven Summits Challenge. With this accomplishment, Anvitha has now conquered six of the seven highest continental peaks, moving closer to becoming one of the few Indian women to scale the highest mountains on all seven continents.

A highly accomplished high-altitude climber, Anvitha has previously summited Mount Everest (8,849 m), Mount Manaslu (8,163 m), Mount Vinson (Antarctica), Mount Elbrus (Europe), Mount Kilimanjaro (Africa), and Mount Aconcagua (South America). She has also led expeditions to notable Indian peaks including Mount Gorichen in Arunachal Pradesh and Mount Khadey in Ladakh.

Anvitha is widely recognized as the first Indian to reach the true summit of Mount Manaslu and the first Indian to climb Mount Elbrus during the winter season, where she unfurled a 10-metre Indian Tricolour at the summit.

Born and raised in Bhongir, Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district of Telangana, Anvitha is the daughter of Mr. Madhu Sudan Reddy and Mrs. Chandrakala, whose constant support and encouragement have played a pivotal role in her mountaineering journey. Through her achievements, she continues to bring pride to Telangana and India on the global stage.

Anvitha began her Denali expedition from India on June 3, 2026, entering the mountain on June 7, 2026. She climbed alongside her expedition partner Ms. Renata from Argentina, with the two-member team completing the challenging expedition entirely on their own. Notably, they undertook the climb without guides, porters, or external logistics support, independently managing route planning, load carrying, navigation, and expedition execution — a testament to their technical expertise and self-reliance.

All of Anvitha's Seven Summits expeditions have been supported by Anvitha Group, whose continued commitment to excellence, adventure sports, and women's empowerment has enabled her to pursue some of the world's toughest mountaineering challenges. The group's sustained support has been instrumental in helping her carry the Indian flag to the highest points across the globe.

Currently associated with the Transcend Academy of Rock Climbing, Bhongir, Anvitha actively trains and mentors aspiring climbers and adventure enthusiasts. She has inspired thousands of young people through adventure education and mountaineering programs. Her achievements have earned her several honours, including the Women Puraskar Award from the Telangana Women and Child Welfare Department and the Best Achiever Award presented by former Telangana Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan.

Anvitha's mountaineering journey has also been closely linked with Transcend Adventures and the Transcend Academy of Rock Climbing, institutions that have supported her development since the early stages of her climbing career. Today, she leads and mentors Everest and other high-altitude expeditions under the banner of Transcend Adventures, helping nurture the next generation of Indian mountaineers.
