Hyderabad, November 1, 2024 – In a grand ceremony held today at the Hyderabad Golf Association, Hon’ble Governor of Telangana, Shri Jishnu Dev Varma, officially inaugurated the fourth season of the prestigious Sreenidhi University Telangana Premier Golf League (TPGL). The event was a gathering of golfing enthusiasts, top players, and esteemed sponsors, all united by their passion for the sport.
The Governor inaugurated the event by unveiling the trophy. He interacted with the team owners and captains, extending his best wishes for the season.
League Commissioner Mr. C.V. Ramana Reddy expressed his gratitude to the Governor for his presence and support. He highlighted the changes in the match format for the current season, anticipating a more exciting and competitive league. Mr. Reddy also emphasized the league's embrace of technology namely online auction & live scoring which can be watched real through a dedicated app.
Hyderabad Golf Association President Mr. B.V.K. Raju outlined the club's ongoing efforts to elevate Hyderabad as a global golfing destination. He thanked all the team sponsors for their support in making the league a reality. He highlighted recent developments like the new driving range and other infrastructural improvements, expressing confidence in HGA's potential to become one of the world's premier golf courses.
Dr. K.T. Mahhe, Chancellor of Sreenidhi University and Chairman of Sreenidhi Educational Group, underscored the university's commitment to blending world-class academics with a strong focus on sports.
