Hyderabad 26th September 2025: Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma addressed the Pravasi Rajasthani Meet in Hyderabad today and called upon Pravasi Rajasthanis across the globe to partner in the development of the state by investing in the vast opportunities available.
He announced that the state government will celebrate Pravasi Rajasthani Diwas every year on December 10, with the first celebration scheduled in Jaipur on December 10, 2025. He added that a series of Pravasi Rajasthani Meets would be organized across the country and abroad to strengthen ties with the diaspora.
The Chief Minister informed that the Rajasthan Foundation has been strengthened, with all 26 chapters worldwide made functional, including New York, London, and Riyadh. A single point of contact has been set up in every district, with the Additional District Collector as nodal officer to support expatriate families.
Highlighting investment opportunities, Shri Sharma said that Rajasthan is on track to become a USD 350 billion economy. During the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit, MOUs worth ₹35 lakh crore were signed, out of which ₹7 lakh crore have been grounded. The state has:
3rd largest highway network & 5th largest railway network in India
7 airports and the largest share of Delhi-Mumbai Freight Corridor
Over 20 new investment-friendly policies and several new industrial areas
34,000 hectares of land allotted for 17 GW renewable energy projects
The CM also mentioned the upcoming Pachpadra Refinery, new policies in mining, M-Sand, and semiconductors, establishment of Tier-4 data centers, and investment opportunities in automobiles, electronics, textiles, defense, medical equipment, and food processing.
Tourism has also been prioritized by reducing the minimum investment threshold for land allotment from ₹100 crore to ₹50 crore, enabling broader participation in heritage, wellness, and hospitality projects.
The event witnessed active participation from Pravasi Rajasthanis, with some being honored for their social service contributions. A short film on the global community was also screened.
