Police arrest 5 temple thieves

Achampet 06 April 2019: The Achampet police have achieved a breakthrough in the sensational Umamaheswaram Temple.

hundi theft that happened last month and arrested 5 persons involved in the crime and recovered Rs. 13,000 from them. According to Achampet Circle inspector Ramakrishna and Sub inspector Parushuram, while a few unidentified persons were roaming suspiciously at the Markandeya temple area on Friday, based on the complaint of locals the police took all the 5 persons into custody and enquired them.

During their enquiry all the five have revealed that they were the ones who looted the Umamaheswaram Temple hundi last month. Based on the information the police further secured more information from them and learnt that these burglars had looted Rs. 23,000 from the hundi. “We have achieved a great breakthrough in the Umamaheswaram Temple theft and apprehended all the 5 culprits, we have send them to remand and investigating the case further,”
