PATS and Dept of WD&CW collaborates to provide healthcare awareness among adolescent

The Paediatric Academy of Telangana State (PATS) and Department of Women Development and Child Welfare (DW&WC) has collaborated to provide healthcare awareness among the adolescent age children in schools and colleges across Gadwal district.

As part of this initiative, PATS coordinator and Children’s specialists Dr. Shekar conducted the adolescent healthcare awareness programme in Government Junior college for Women in Gadwal district on Thursday. “Today we have launched the Yuva Velugu programme in Gadwal and as part of this programme we are providing healthcare awareness to the adolescent children and providing them healthcare knowledge as to what they need to do and what not during this age of their life,” said Dr. Shekar.


As part of the Yuva Velugu programme the doctor explained to 215 students various changes that the adolescent children of their age will observe and advised them not to get panic and said it is common to everyone in their life. He also advised them to ask questions to their Parents or Teachers, as they are the best guides to clear their doubts relting to their healthcare problems if any.
