
Hyderabad 17th April 2019: Dr. G. Bhanuprakash Reddy, a senior scientist from Hyderabad based National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) has been selected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) in London in recognition to his remarkable research contributions in the field of Nutritional Biochemistry.
As part of his research Dr. Bhanuprakahs who had carried out an in-depth study focusing on nutritional biochemistry of age-related diseases, had used both human cohorts and animal models to reveal the role of micronutrients in the development of diabetic complications.
In fact, incidentally Dr. Bhanuprakahs Reddy is the first scientists from NIN to be named as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, which is acknowledge by many as the largest organisation for advancing the chemical sciences.
“The news of my name being selected for the Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) has come as a great delight for me as I feel greatly honoured to be admitted to the FRSC as a fellow scientist of global conglomerate,” said Dr. Bhanuprakash.
The designation Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry is given to a group of elect fellows who have made significant contributions in the field of chemistry and allied fields of sciences. In fact many scientists regard being recognised as an FRSC means like attaining the highest professional standards on par with wider scientific community of the globe.
The immaculate research work of Dr. Bhanuprakash Reddy which focused on nutritional biochemistry of age-related disease with particular emphasis on micronutrients and functional foods have been published in more than 170 publications.
