Bhakti News Service, Mahabubnagar: Social activist Diddi Praveen Kumar from Mahabubnagar has embarked on a novel act of distributing pooja material including 'Dhoopa, Deepa, Nivedyam' to about 237 historical temples and Vinayaka mandapas across both the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
The social activist who is also the president of Nenu Saitham NGO, fighting against corruption, illegal land grabbing and illegal sand mining is spending from his own pocket distributing 33 varieties of pooja materials to the temples in both the Telugu states.
"With God's grace, I am able to take this initiative of distributing pooja materials to various temples in the state. Earlier also we had distributed pooja materials including 'Dhoopa-Deepa-Naivedyam' to various temples, but it was confined to only Mahabubnagar district, but this time we have decided to distribute the pooja material free of cost to 237 historical temples and various Vinayaka mandapas in both the Telugu states. We have been doing this for the past 5 days. And these pooja materials this time are in large numbers which could suffice upto 2-3 months," said Praveen Kumar, while speaking to Media.
The distribution covers multiple districts both in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, including Mahbubnagar, Nagar Kurnool, Narayanapet, Wanaparthi, Gadwal, Warangal, Karimnagar, Nalgonda, Rangareddy, and Hyderabad. In addition, districts in Andhra Pradesh like Kurnool, Tirupati, Nandyala, and Kadapa have also benefited from this charitable effort.
Praveen Kumar emphasized that the initiative is self-funded, with no external donations or subscriptions. He encouraged everyone to participate in the festive activities with devotion throughout the Ganesha installation and immersion period in a safe and peaceful manner manner.
Several members of the Nenu saitham organization, including Konduru Srihari, Ashok, Rainbow Srinivas, Shekhar Reddy, and others, actively participated in this noble effort.
