Manam Welfare Society Seeks CSR Partnerships to Transform Tribal Lives

Hyderabad, 26th July 2026: As Hyderabad hosts the 3rd South India CSR Summit, Manam Welfare Society (Reg. No. 74/2018), a grassroots voluntary organization working in the remote tribal regions of Mulugu district, has appealed to corporate organizations, CSR leaders, philanthropists, and development partners to join hands in building a healthier, educated, and self-reliant society.

With the inspiring motto, "Service is the Path – Compassion is the Way," the organization seeks CSR partnerships to strengthen its long-standing initiatives in education, healthcare, environmental conservation, livelihood generation, women's empowerment, youth skill development, and humanitarian assistance.

Founded in 2018 by Sri Choulam Srinivasa Rao, Founder and General Secretary, Manam Welfare Society is the culmination of over four decades of selfless social service. Beginning his career as a teacher in 1986, Sri Srinivasa Rao has consistently worked for the welfare of tribal, rural, and economically disadvantaged communities, earning recognition for his dedication to public service.

The Society envisions creating a healthier and sustainable future by giving back to society through education, healthcare, environmental protection, and social welfare. Its mission focuses on eradicating hunger and poverty, promoting quality education, improving healthcare access, encouraging organic living and tree plantation, empowering youth through skill development, and providing timely disaster relief.

Over the years, the organization has successfully mobilized support to improve infrastructure in government and tribal schools by facilitating classrooms, benches, dining facilities, computer laboratories, drinking water systems, furniture, and renovation works. It has also transformed neglected school campuses into vibrant learning environments through landscaping, plantation drives, educational murals, and environmental beautification.

One of its landmark achievements was increasing student enrolment at the Akulavarighanpur Ashram School from 23 students to 225 students within just two months through an intensive "Back to School" campaign. The Society also introduced hygiene awareness programmes, distributed personal hygiene kits, promoted discipline among students, and organized educational and motivational initiatives that significantly improved academic participation.

Beyond education, Manam Welfare Society has rendered exemplary service during natural disasters by assisting flood-affected tribal families, supporting victims of fire accidents, and providing relief materials. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization worked alongside government authorities and police personnel to assist migrant workers and facilitate transportation of patients to quarantine centres and hospitals.

The Society regularly conducts free medical camps, yoga and meditation programmes, sanitation awareness campaigns, plantation drives, literacy initiatives, and community service activities during major cultural and religious gatherings, including the Medaram Jatara and other important festivals across the region.

Recognizing his outstanding contributions to education and social service, Sri Choulam Srinivasa Rao received the Best Teacher and Headmaster Award from the District Collector and Tribal Welfare Department on 15 August 2007, and the prestigious 32nd National Fellowship Award from the Dalit Sahitya Academy, New Delhi, on 11 December 2016.

Addressing delegates participating in the CSR Summit, the Society has appealed for financial assistance, infrastructure support, equipment, and long-term CSR collaborations to implement sustainable projects in tribal education, healthcare, women's livelihood, youth employability, environmental protection, drinking water, sanitation, and rural development.
