International Knowledge Millennium Conference Kicks Off at HICC, Hyderabad

Hyderabad, 26th October 2024: IKP Knowledge Park (IKP) will hold the 18th edition of their annual flagship event, the International Knowledge Millennium Conference, on the 26th, 27th and 28th October 2024, in Hyderabad, with the main theme of “IKP@25: An Epic Rhapsody & the Next Symphony”
This year’s IKMC is a celebration of 25 years of IKP Knowledge Park. From humble beginnings in1999, IKP became the first Science Park for Life Sciences in India. Over the past 25 years, IKP’s Science Park in Genome Valley has been the anchor for several leading companies in the life science sector including Laurus Labs, Dupont, USP, Sai Life Sciences among others. IKP has touch over 1800 start-ups across the country across various sectors over these years
IKMC2024 will be a celebration of the journey while looking ahead with optimism at the future. The forum will be attended by business leaders, top researchers, entrepreneurs, policy makers and other accomplished individuals and will foster critical discussions, debates, and collaborations, focusing on Progress made in Cell and Gene Therapy, One Health, Smart Proteins and a look at the future. Over 150 innovators and start-ups will be showcasing their cutting edge solutions as part of the Start-up Show case.
The first two days of the conference will be held at HICC, Hyderabad and will host start-up exhibition, key note speeches, panel discussions and round table discussions. The third day will be held at IKP’s science park campus in Genome valley, Hyderabad and will host a panel discussion of the CXOs in Genome valley.
As a part of the celebrations, IKP will invest up to ₹150 L in 2 start-ups through the IKP Future Forward Fund. These start-ups will be selected through start-up pitches. The IKP Future Stars award is a grant of Rs 5 Lakhs to 10 deserving young (under 25) entrepreneurs.
This event will also acknowledge the role of 25 people who have been instrumental in IKP reaching this milestone through the IKP Shapers Award and celebrate 50 start-ups who have made our lives better
Deepanwita Chattopadhyay, Chairman and CEO of IKP Knowledge Park said that the success of IKP shows the strength, innovativeness and resilience of the Indian Science Ecosystem. She is pleased to look back the past 25 years and even more excited about the feature. She recounted the advice and mentorship of many stalwarts and particularly acknowledged the role of Mr. Narayanan Vaghul whose extraordinary vision made IKP Knowledge Park possible.
