Hyderabad Saree Festival Showcases the Grandeur of Indian Handloom Heritage

Hyderabad, October 25, 2025: Hyderabad once again became the stage for celebrating India’s rich handloom heritage with the grand inauguration of the “Hyderabad Saree Festival.” The event was inaugurated by Handlooms and Textiles Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao on Saturday. The festival will continue till October 30 at the Kamma Sangham Grounds, Ameerpet, Hyderabad.


TTD Trust Board Member J. Bhanu Prakash Reddy graced the inaugural ceremony. The event is being organized with the support of the National Design Centre and the Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The exhibition will be open to the public daily from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM.


A total of 62 handloom artisans and 13 handicraft artists from across India are showcasing their exquisite craftsmanship. The festival features a wide range of traditional saree collections representing diverse regional weaving traditions of India.


he Hyderabad Saree Festival is not just an exhibition—it serves as a cultural bridge, bringing together artisans and visitors. Attendees have the unique opportunity to interact directly with the weavers, learn about traditional designs, intricate weaving techniques, and regional specialties.


The festival aims to promote handloom sarees, create market opportunities for artisans, and raise awareness about sustainable fashion and traditional craftsmanship
