Once again the sand Mafia has raise it's hood in Maganoor Mandal of Narayanpet district and involving in unabated illegal mining of sand and gravel.
The revenue and police authorities who are supposed to stop this illegal mining have remained the silent spectators and not taking any action against the violators as they are under the influence of bribe and kickbacks from the mafia.
The sand and gravel mafia are escaping huge gavel hills and sand during nights. Everyday the illegal mining starts at night with 20 bharat Benz trucks and JCB doing illegal mining in Maganoor and surrounding areas looting the valuable wealth of the public.

Social activist from Nenusaitam social organisation, who is fighting against land and sand Mafia in the erstwhile Mahabubnagar district said that though the sand mining in some regions has come down drastically with the intervention of Narayanpet SP, however in Maganoor this has not yet stopped. we are demanding and the revenue officials to immediately book cases against sand and gravel and take up a thorough investigation and put a stop to the illegal mining in the district and stop the open loot of public resources.
