
Hyderbad 25th August 2019: Assuring that the central goverment is ready to support the Ayurvedic stream of medicine in the country in all possible ways it can, Vikram Singh, Director of Ayush Department, Ministery of Ayush, government of India said, "The central government is ready to support the Ayush stream of medicien in every possible way. As part of our National Health policy, we have decided to encourage the traditional medicine stream and are planning to start 12500 health centres throughout India," said the Director.
Vikram Singh was speaking at a programme organsied by Vishwa Ayurveda Parishad Telangan Unit for Pranabhisara-2019, which was held at Centre for Economic and social studies (CESS) at Punjagutta.
Adding further, Vikram singh said that the central government is expecting to have one Ayush Hospital in each district across India. He said the central Ayush department is looking to support the development of pure Ayurvedic medicine by way of promoting medicinal plants through National Medicine Plant board.
On the occasion Dr. Alagu Varshini, Director, Department of Ayush thankded Dr. B.R. Rama Krishna, Vice Chancellor, S-Vyasa University and Vice President, CCIM New Delhi for granting permission of UG and PG intake of students.
She Highlighted the importance and urgent need to strengthen indina system of medicine and asked the PG studens to initiate to take 3 diseases to do case study, treatment protocols in uniformity which can be used for treatmetn purpose and disease control in future.
She reminded that the Telangana government has already alloted Rs.23 crores for expanding Ayush dispensaries all over the state and explained about hte Geo Tagging App that links Hospitals, institutions and Dispensaries. She also recollected prime Minister Narendra Modi's advise that Ayurveda Doctors will be called as Ayurveda Vaidya and advised the Ayush doctors not to prescribe allopathic medicine and urged the doctors to gain confidence on Ayurveda medicine by using themselves and to their families.
Etala Rajender, Telangana Health Minister, who graced the occasiion said that Ayush medicine is India's traditional medicine and it has been proven effective in treating may chronic diseses and lifestyle disorders like Diabetes, Blood Pressure, Paralasis and otehr skin diseases. "Ayurveda is a good treatment for curing anxiety, stress and sleep disorders," said the Minister.
