Global Scientists and Entrepreneurs Converge at ‘BIOINSPIRED FRONTIERS 2025’ to Explore Biomimicry, Space Innovation, and Sustainable Economic Development

Hyderabad, India, October 22, 2025: BIOINSPIRED FRONTIERS 2025, a first-of-its-kind global conference dedicated to exploring the intersections of biomimicry, space exploration, and sustainable economic development, was inaugurated by Shri Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka Garu, Deputy Chief Minister, Govt of Telangana, in Hyderabad today. The event brought together scientists, innovators, policymakers, and entrepreneurs from across the globe to discuss how lessons from nature and space research can inspire sustainable progress on Earth. Shri Jayesh Ranjan Garu, Special Chief Secretary, for Information Technology, Electronics & Communications (ITE&C) and Industries & Commerce also graced the event.


The two-day conference is being organised by Global Events of Pioneering and Advancing Quests (GEOPAQ) in collaboration with Czech Aerospace Cluster on October 22 & 23, 2025.

Sharing his thoughts at the event, Shri Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Deputy Chief Minister, Govt of Telangana, said “Friends and distinguished scientists, industry leaders, innovators, and dear friends from all over the world, it gives me a great pleasure to welcome you all to Hyderabad, a city that has always combined the precision of science and the poetry of imagination. We are delighted that Bioinspired Frontiers 2025, the global dialog between biology, technology, and space exploration is taking place here in Hyderabad, which has widely shaped India's scientific destiny for over half a century. Hyderabad’s relationship with scientists is deep and enduring.”


“Our government is committed to providing a supportive regulatory environment, incubation support, and world-class infrastructure for deep tech ventures.  Let us ensure that the conversations that began here today lead to partnership and build a better tomorrow on earth and beyond.  Let Telangana continue to be a place where public institutions inspire, startups innovate, and global science converge,” the minister added.


Mr. Murtaza Abbas Qurasani, Founder & CEO, GEOPAQ said, “We are looking forward to the intensive exchange of ideas by the global minds at the conference, which reaffirms that sustainability and innovation are not opposing goals but complementary forces. On the first day of the event, prominent global aerospace experts, scientists, and entrepreneurs, including Irene Scheider, Founder & CEO ISE - RADIATION EXPERTS, Joan Perera, Founder & CEO JAN PERERA WORKS - Aerospace Project Manager, Dr. Srimathy Kesan, Founder & CEO, Space Kidz India, a leading Indian aerospace startup, Adriana Marais, Founder of Proudly Human, Director at Foundation for Space Development Africa, and Mohana Sai Akula, Research Scientist - 1, ICMR, CAR-IAM, Astronaut Candidate Titans Space Industries 2029 exchanged their ideas at the event.


The Day-2 is set to be equally interesting as leading scientists, entrepreneurs and experts, such as Abhinav Kshitij, Ex-ISRO Scientist and Oxford MBA Grad, Growth Manager & Space Tech Consultant – RudraX, Rania Toukebri, Senior Team Leader and spacecraft designer, Akkodis Aerospace and Defense, Biswajit Das - Co-founder, Arkasa, space architect, Analog Astronaut, researcher, Sweta Parmar, Founder of Agnia Aerospace, Stephan G. Hoornaert, Biomimicry and molecular biology expert, Dr. Sudheer Reddy from ISRO, Shifa Zahra, Stardust Ambassador, Navin Kumar, Founder & CEO of Antimatter Space; Space & Quantum researcher,  and Antonio Stark, Space Policy and Strategy Expert, Global Alliance Lead at ispace inc, will be sharing their insights at the event.


Iniya Pragati, world’s youngest analogue astronaut was the special attraction at the event, who has been selected as the commercial astronaut candidate scheduled to fly to Low Earth Orbit (LEO) in 2029. She completed the Northern Arctic Polar Martian Mission in August 2025. The 13-year-old has been selected for a 10-day NASA space training programme in 2026. An award-winning space author of 3 book, Iniya has launched her latest book titled ‘Water on Moon’ last year. She was the youngest person to present an analogue research work at the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) 2025 at Sydney, Australia.  


Several insightful topics such as Biomimetic Control Systems, Bioinspired Mobility and the Future of Autonomous Explorers and Bioinspired Innovation and the Evolution of Space Policy have been discussed by the speakers at the event.
