Hyderabad, 26th May 2024: In its mission towards mitigating Diabetes and spreading awareness about lifestyle alterations, Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialities Centre (DMDSC) today inaugurated and hosted the city's largest Diabetes expo. With over 10,000 plus participants, the expo witnessed a culmination of eminent doctors, leading diabetologists and patients to share insights about latest technological advancements on preventive care and management of Diabetes. The event was inaugurated by Justice N.V. Ramana– Former Chief Justice of India, Dr. D Nageshwar Reddy – Chairman and Chief of Gastroenterology, Asian Institute of Gastroenterology and AIG Hospitals, Hyderabad and Mr. K Satish Reddy, Chairman – Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Hyderabad in the presence of globally renowned Diabetologist Dr. V. Mohan – Chairman and Chief Diabetologist – Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialties Centre, Dr. R.M Anjana, Managing Director – Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialties Centre and other dignitaries.
During the event,Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialties Centre also honoured Prof. B.K Sahay – Senior Diabetologist and Former Professor and Head, Department of Medicine, Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his immense contribution in the field of Diabetology. Following this, Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialties Centrealso honoured Senior Diabetologists from Hyderabad, eminent Doctors from various other fields and recognized patients with Diabetes for their resilience through two dedicated awards - Legends of Hyderabad and Diabetes Warriors. These awards also recognized healthcare professionals, researchers, and social workers from Hyderabad whose groundbreaking work has resulted in creating a lasting impact on diabetes care and awareness.
The Diabetes Expo on Sunday featured an array of informative sessions, doctor talks, health screenings, interactive workshops, and a vibrant exhibition showcasing the latest advancements in Diabetes care and technology. More than 10, 000 attendees had the opportunity to engage with leading experts in the field of Diabetes management, diet and fitness coupled with a host of activities like Yoga, dance and fitness sessions apart from books, merchandise and customised footwear for the people of Hyderabad.
