On Tuesday, she visited the Indian Silk Gallery Wedding Special Silk Exhibition organized by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India at Sathya sai nigamagam, Srinagar Colony,Hyderabad. On this occasion, she said that she wore sarees while studying in higher education in Canada, She said that sarees have a special role in the traditions of our country. She also said that the country's Prime Minister Modi will encourage the hand craftsmen and specially congratulated Hari Prasad, a hand craftsman from Sirisila. On this occasion, 5 handloom weavers who have shown the best talent in the field of handloom were specially felicitated. President Draupadi, who is coming for the or Winter vacation in the last week of this month, will take a saree from here and give it as a gift. Praising Dr. Arunakumar, Enforcement Director, Ministry of Textiles, who is encouraging handloom artisans, she also expressed happiness when the organizers told the Governor that they would give a 20 percent discount to front-line warriors who are in contact with the people along with Covid. Indian Silk Gallery CEO Vinay Kumar congratulated Srinivasa Rao for creating a platform for master weavers from leading cities in the country and encouraging them.
