Dhanuka Group signed a MoU with Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University

Hyderabad, December 28, 2021: Quality inputs, and use of modern technology, like drones for crop protection, are crucial for substantially increasing the export of agricultural produce from Telangana, and making the state a role model for others to follow, said Mr. R G Agarwal, Group Chairman of Dhanuka here today.

Mr. Agarwal called upon the state farmers to take the help of drones, robotics, and artificial intelligence (AI) and use the best quality seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides to increase the agri-yield, crop quality, and income of the farmers.

Given the vast resources and a vibrant farming community, Telangana has the right potential to emerge as a major center for the export of farm produce, he said, adding, the need of the hour is to sensitize the farmers about the long-term benefits of using the latest technology and quality inputs.

“Use of technology, including crop protections by farmers will go a long way in helping the state of Telangana in realizing its potential of agriculture exports,” Mr. Agarwal said.

Dhanuka Group has been at the forefront in promoting the latest technology to help farmers increase yield. The company has the latest technological Crop Protection products (Herbicides, Insecticides, Fungicides, and Plant Growth Regulators) and has technical tie-ups with 2 American, 3 European, and 6 Japanese firms.

Mr. Agarwal emphasized that the use of right and good inputs will also help farmers increase their export share and help realize the cherished dream of doubling the income of farmers.

"There is a vast market for quality Indian agricultural products in overseas markets. The keyword is 'Quality'. The farmers must use quality inputs, and take the help of modern technology to increase per hectare yield. This will help them increase the exports and hence income," Agarwal said.

He further stressed that farmers need to be educated and sensitized to take full advantage of the scientific and technological advances in the field of agriculture.

Dhanuka Group has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University, Hyderabad. As per the MoU, the two institutions will work jointly to provide technical know-how and support to farmers at large.

Dhanuka Group will participate and sponsor conferences and together with the university will jointly conduct research activities in the field of crop protection chemicals. In partnership with the University, Dhanuka will encourage farmers to use modern agriculture technologies, which will play a vital role in increasing crop production.

Dhanuka Group is working to increase the income of farmers who are the foundation of our nation.

These initiatives will ultimately help in achieving the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister of doubling the farmers’ income and transforming India into a US$ 5 Trillion economy of which US$ 1 Trillion will be contributed by the agriculture sector, Mr. Agarwal said.
