Deccan Hospital Observes World Kidney Day, Felicitates Transplant Patients

Hyderabad, 12th March, 2026:  Deccan Hospital observed World Kidney Day 2026 on Thursday with the theme “Kidney Health for All – Caring for People, Protecting the Planet.” The programme marked the 20th anniversary of World Kidney Day, focusing on raising awareness about kidney health and the importance of early detection and prevention.

Dr. Sashidhar, MD, DNB, Nephrologist, Dr. Syed Gufran Mohammed, MD, DNB, Nephrologist, and Dr. Kishore, Urologist, attended the programme and spoke about the importance of kidney health. The doctors also shared valuable tips on how to protect kidneys through proper diet, adequate water intake, regular health check-ups, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

On the occasion, renal transplant patients and their donors were felicitated, and mementos were presented to the transplant families. A quiz programme on kidney diseases was also conducted for patients and their relatives to create awareness about kidney care.
