Hyderabad 9th July 2025: CII Telangana organized the 7th edition of the CFO Conclave 2025 with the theme “Navigating Uncertainty, Unlocking Growth” on 09 July 2025 in Hyderabad,
The CFO Conclave had high-impact sessions focusing on Boardroom Dynamics: From Insight to Impact, From Ledgers to Algorithms: Rewiring Finance with AI, Chasing Vision : Stories that Inspire, Protecting the Real Asset : Your Health – Insights by a leading Oncologist and Leadership Reflections: Lessons that resonate.
While addressing the inaugural session, Chief Guest Mr Batti Vikramarka Mallu, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister & Minister for Finance & Planning, Energy, Government of Telangana said that CFOs are navigators of Corporate destiny and expected to be strategists who spot the opportunities, Technologist and risk taker. AI and advanced analytics are unlocking the digital transformation opportunities. Growth should not come at the cost of sustainability. Digital transformation is unlocking efficiencies of various sectors such as manufacturing, life sciences etc. Telangana’s progressive policies have made magnet for investments in many sectors. True development can not be measured in economic output but how it benefits the people. The state government embarked on development journey through establishment of around 100 Young India Integrated residential Schools, Ambedkar Knowledge Centres, and also for farmers Rythu Bharosa is being implemented where loans up to Rs. 2 Lakh are being waived off for farmers. In conclusion, he said that Government and Industry should work as one entity.
Dr B V R Mohan Reddy, Past Chairman, CII – Southern Region & Founder Chairman, Cyient Ltd.in his address mentioned that today CFOs are business partners and custodians of ESG. Governance costs are increasing in a drastic manner and all CFOs are expected to possess knowledge about compliances. AI applications are developing rapidly and repeated processes could be automated. AI could support in futuristic planning and forecasts. In today’s world CFOs need to embrace technology and become cross functional. Through innovation, strengthening governance and long-term value creation CFOs can play a key role in the success of an organization.
Mr R Sivaprasad Reddy, Chairman, CII Telangana & Managing Director, Rachamallu Forgings Pvt. Ltd. in his address mentioned that today, finance leadership goes beyond financial expertise. It demands agility, strategic foresight and the courage to lead through volatility. CFOs are at the forefront of building resilient organizations, managing risks, and unlocking new avenues for growth even in uncertain times. Finance leaders must harness technology to strengthen financial decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and drive innovation. By leveraging tools like advanced analytics, automation and machine learning, CFOs can reshape financial processes and build a future-ready finance function. As finance custodians, CFOs are also expected to lead the way in integrating sustainability, ethical governance and ESG principles into their financial strategies. Balancing profitability with purpose is now a key expectation from investors, regulators and society.
Mr M V Narasimham, Chairman, CII Telangana Task Force on Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) & CFO, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. said that automation should not be driven by only small group people but by all important departments. Dashboards should be updated automatically, and efficient adoption is important. With regulatory frameworks continuously evolving, it is essential for the finance community to stay updated and proactive in ensuring compliance while fostering strong ethical standards and effective risk management across organizations.
Mr M Gowtham Reddy, Vice Chairman, CII Telangana & Executive Vice Chairman, Re Sustainability Ltd. in his address said that independent directors see the company through the lens of CFO rather than CEOs. CFOs must continue to lead with foresight and readiness to navigate the unexpected.
