Hyderabad, October 19, 2024: Every year, October 20th ignites a global celebration known as International Chefs Day, and this year's electrifying theme, "Growing Great Chefs," has been passionately endorsed by the World Association of Chefs Societies.
Our exceptional final-year student chefs crafted an extraordinary five-course gourmet feast, serving it to underprivileged children in our community. This culinary experience went beyond mere dining; our students imparted vital dining etiquette and ignited aspirations in these young minds, inspiring them to envision a future in this noble and rewarding profession.
We were deeply honored to welcome Mr. Sri Pullaiah, the esteemed Secretary of the State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET) in Telangana, as our Chief Guest for this momentous occasion. Mr. Pullaiah captivated the children with his insights on Sustainability, Environmental Stewardship, and the importance of Healthy Eating Habits for a thriving planet for future generations. He was graciously recognized by Chef Akshay Kulkarni, Head of the Academy's Department, who passionately encouraged the children to embrace this remarkable profession as their career path. In a world where Al threatens many IT jobs, cooking remains a timeless craft that will always require human touch and creativity.
In addition to serving a gourmet meal, Brand CAI organized a life-saving blood donation camp, where our aspiring chefs rallied together in large numbers to contribute to this noble cause, exemplifying the profound impact of compassion and community service. Chef Akshay Kulkami led by example, being the first to donate blood and inspiring his students to follow suit.
Overall, it was a vibrant day at the Academy, tackling crucial issues related to food and health while fostering a spirit of generosity and community.
