Hyderabad, April 26, 2026: The Bhagwan Mahavir Jain Relief Foundation Trust (BMJRFT) has once again demonstrated its commitment to accessible and affordable healthcare by replacing 129 dialysis machines, valued at ₹12 crore, with the support of generous donors.
BMJRFT continues to play a pioneering role in providing dialysis services at a highly subsidised cost of ₹300 per session, compared to ₹2,500–₹5,000 charged by corporate hospitals. This initiative has substantially reduced the financial burden on patients suffering from chronic kidney ailments, while maintaining high standards of care.
Typically, dialysis machines have a lifespan of approximately 20,000 sessions or 5–7 years, depending on safety norms and performance evaluations. However, through efficient utilisation and rigorous maintenance practices, BMJRFT has extended the lifespan of its machines to 30,000–35,000 sessions.
Upon deciding to replace the machines, the Trust was able to mobilise donor support within a week, reflecting the strong goodwill and confidence it has earned over the years.
In recognition of the donors’ invaluable contributions, BMJRFT organised a felicitation ceremony on Saturday at Marvel Imperial Garden, Secunderabad.
Shri Praveen Kumar, Executive Director, NMDC Limited, and Smt. Kasaraneni Damayanthi, I.A.S (Retd.), graced the occasion as distinguished guests.
