Hyderabad, July 03, 2025:Doctors at Medicover Woman & Child Hospitals have given 35-year-old Ms. Nanditha Paul a new lease on life — and preserved her dream of motherhood — by safely removing a large 10 cm cervical fibroid without performing a hysterectomy.
Ms. Nanditha arrived at Medicover in a critical condition with severe vaginal bleeding and dangerously low hemoglobin levels (3.7 gm/dL). Prior to reaching the hospital, she had already received 16 units of blood in an effort to stabilize her condition.
Due to the size and position of the tumor, several hospitals had advised a hysterectomy (removal of the uterus) as the only solution to control the bleeding — a procedure that would have permanently ended her ability to have children.
However, the team at Medicover took a more compassionate and advanced approach.
Led by Dr. Prithvi Perum, Consultant Robotic & Laparoscopic Surgeon, with support from Dr. Ajay Varun Reddy (Surgical Oncology) and Dr. Shilpa (Anesthesia), the team opted for a myomectomy — a surgical procedure that removes fibroids while preserving the uterus.
The team used advanced surgical techniques and bleeding control methods to ensure patient safety throughout the complex procedure.
“This was not just about removing a tumor. It was about preserving her future and her right to be a mother,” said Dr. Prithvi Perum.“At Medicover, we focus on life-saving care that also protects our patients’ dreams.”
Today, Ms. Nanditha is healthy and recovering well, with her uterus intact and her hopes of becoming a mother still alive.

Stressed with multiple deadlines, I finally gave in and got capstone project help. It was the best decision! My writer broke down the process into weekly milestones and provided everything—from topic ideas to a polished presentation. It saved me tons of time and anxiety. If you’re in deep water with your capstone, don’t hesitate. They really know how to handle academic pressure and deliver original work right on time.
