“Bandi Shatakam” Book Released with 116 Verses to Create Awareness on Road Accident Prevention

Hyderabad, 31^st December 2025: Sarvejana Foundation, which has been continuously working towards the prevention of road accidents and creating public awareness through innovative initiatives, marked the New Year with the release of a unique book titled “Bandi Shatakam”, written with 116 poetic verses aimed at promoting road safety among motorists.

The book was formally released on Wednesday at KIMS Sunshine Hospital, Begumpet, by Sarvejana Foundation Chairman Dr. A. V. Gurava Reddy. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Gurava Reddy stated that the book has been specially designed to reach every road user and convey powerful social messages on the dangers of over-speeding and the importance of wearing helmets and seat belts.

The book has been authored by renowned humorist Hasya Brahma Dr. Shankar Narayana, who has creatively presented serious road safety issues in the form of 116 verses, combining humor with a strong social message to effectively influence public behavior.

Addressing the gathering, Sarvejana Foundation CEO and retired IAS officer Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy said that this book is part of a process aimed at changing mindsets by blending humor with serious subjects. He noted that despite repeated awareness efforts in various forms, accidents continue to occur, and this initiative is a sincere attempt to bring about change by presenting the message in a poetic and engaging format.

Author Dr. Shankar Narayana described the initiative as a “Bandi Yagam,” comparable to a Chandi Yagam, and praised Dr. Gurava Reddy for his distinctive contributions to both the medical and creative fields. He said that the release of Bandi Shatakam is a moment of great pride and significance in his life.
