Asian Institute of Nephrology & Urology (AINU) Expands Dialysis Services at Dilsukhnagar unit


Hyderabad, February 8th, 2023: The Asian Institute of Nephrology & Urology (AINU) has today announced its Dilsukhnagar unit would now have a 50% increased capacity to cater to the growing demand for dialysis. From the current 800 sessions per month, the AINU unit will now be able to provide 1200 dialysis sessions each month.


While most hospitals in the vicinity provide basic dialysis care, AINU has acquired the technology to provide Hemodiafiltration (HDF), considered the most advanced method of performing dialysis, in the world. HDF is an extracorporeal renal-replacement technique using a highly permeable membrane, in which diffusion and convection are conveniently combined to enhance solute removal.


Commenting on the increased capacity, *Dr. N. Srinivas, Facility Director and senior urologist, AINU said, "India in general, and Hyderabad in particular, has growing instances of kidney ailments, and there is an ever increasing demand from those who ok seek dialysis. Providing the best available dialysis to patients is the need of the hour, to possibly ensure infection-free care. AINU has always been at the forefront of acquiring advanced technologies, and this new unit will offer the latest HDF care."

The combined dialysis capacity of the Asian Institute of Nephrology & Urology currently stands at 4000+ dialysis sessions each month, and this increase will add to the total capacity.
