Hyderabad, March 18, 2026: On the occasion of World Kidney Day 2026, Apollo Dialysis Clinics organized a CSR outreach activity in Hyderabad to support needy people and spread awareness about kidney health.

As part of the initiative, free basic health check-ups were conducted for nearly 400 individuals, including kidney function tests, to help detect kidney-related problems at an early stage. In addition, food and daily essentials were distributed to around 700 people. The activity was held at Home for the Disabled, Bansilalpet, Secunderabad, with the participation of doctors, healthcare staff, and volunteers from Apollo Dialysis Clinics.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. M. Sudhakara Rao, Chief Operating Officer, Apollo Dialysis Clinics, said, "World Kidney Day reminds us about the importance of kidney health and early detection. At Apollo Dialysis Clinics, we encourage everyone to follow our message ‘Screen Early, Live Healthy’ and adopt healthy lifestyle habits to protect their kidney and overall health. At Apollo Dialysis Clinics, we also believe that healthcare organizations have a responsibility to give back to society. CSR activities like this help us support needy people and spread awareness about important health issues”, he added.

Kidney disease often develops silently without clear symptoms in the early stages. People with diabetes, high blood pressure, and unhealthy lifestyle habits are at higher risk. Regular health check-ups and early screening can help detect kidney problems early and prevent serious complications.

Apollo Dialysis Clinics has completed more than 50 lakh dialysis sessions and treated over 40,000 dialysis patients across India. With a network of 175+ dialysis clinics, the organization continues to expand access to quality dialysis care and support national healthcare initiatives.

As part of World Kidney Day awareness activities across India, Apollo Dialysis Clinics has conducted free kidney screening camps, doctor awareness talks, blood donation camps, diet and nutrition counselling sessions, and patient education programs. Through these initiatives, more than 5 lakh people have been directly and indirectly reached and actively participated in kidney health awareness programs across the country.

World Kidney Day is observed globally to raise awareness about kidney health and encourage people to take preventive steps to reduce the risk of kidney disease.
