
Hyderabad, 16th March 2024 – Apollo Cancer Centre, Hyderabad, has officially launched the "Together for Her" campaign, today at hotel Taj Deccan , a bold movement dedicated to empowering women to take charge of their health. This initiative commenced with a transformative panel discussion held on March 16th, 2024, focusing on raising awareness of women's cancer and introducing India's pioneering Purple Clip Champions Brigade.

Ms. Swapna Saripalli, Head-HR, Chubb, highlighted the significance of workplace support, stating, "Strong, healthy women make strong workplaces and communities. Every company should stand behind its women workforce and ensure their well-being, which would enhance overall productivity."
Ms. Ananda Shankar Jayant, Indian Classical Dancer, Choreographer & Padmashree Awardee, encouraged women to prioritize their health, stating, "Our bodies are instruments of expression, and they deserve our utmost care. I encourage all women to prioritize regular checkups and screenings."
“As we honor the strength and resilience of women today, let us remember that self-care is not selfish; it is essential. Let us prioritize our health, both physical and mental, knowing that by nurturing ourselves, we empower ourselves and pave the way for a brighter, healthier future for all”, said Dr P Vijay Anand Reddy, Director, Apollo Cancer Centre who skillfully moderated the discussion.
In addition, Dr. Sai Lakshmi Daayana, Consultant Surgical Gynae Oncologist, and Dr. Prathima Kanumuri, Consultant, Surgical Breast Oncologist from Apollo Cancer Centre, lent their expertise to the panel.
The panelists delved into critical topics including the vital role of early detection and regular screenings in saving lives, strategies to increase awareness and access to healthcare resources for women, and the power of community and corporate support in the fight against cancer.
The 'Together for Her' campaign, backed by these esteemed leaders, aspires to spark a nationwide dialogue about women's cancer and instigate enduring change. As part of this initiative, the campaign also launched the Purple Clip Champions Brigade, comprising student advocates selected from 20 different colleges across Hyderabad. These Champions have been specially trained by senior oncologist on cancer prevention and are committed to spreading awareness within their communities.
