Hyderabad, 20th August 2026: Pulse Pharmaceuticals has achieved a significant milestone with the regulatory approval of its Nano-Carrier Entrapped Vitamin D3 Oral Dispersion, marking a major step in translating advanced nanopharmaceutical research into a regulated, patient-ready product.

The approval follows rigorous scientific evaluation of Pulse Pharmaceuticals’ proprietary nanocarrier technology for Vitamin D3 delivery. According to the company, the approval is among the first of its kind globally for this technology.

Clinical studies have demonstrated 50–60% higher serum Vitamin D levels with the Nano-Carrier Entrapped Vitamin D3 Oral Dispersion compared with conventional Vitamin D3 formulations, highlighting the potential of nanotechnology to improve drug delivery and bioavailability.

Advancing Nanopharmaceutical Drug Delivery

Pulse Pharmaceuticals has been working in the field of nanopharmaceutical drug delivery since 2010, with a focus on addressing real-world challenges faced by large patient populations. Its proprietary “Aqueol” platform technology is designed to effectively deliver lipophilic compounds through water-based mediums.

The company’s approach focuses on improving the performance and bioavailability of medicines while also enhancing tolerability and convenience for patients. Pulse has developed several proprietary platform technologies for the delivery of medicines and essential nutrients.

Beyond Vitamin D3, the company is applying its technologies to other essential nutrients, including Vitamin K2-7, Vitamin B12 and Iron, as well as commonly used medicines such as Paracetamol, Diclofenac and Ibuprofen.

By focusing on essential vitamins and widely used medicines, Pulse Pharmaceuticals aims to develop solutions that can benefit large patient populations.

Global Intellectual Property and Expansion

Pulse Pharmaceuticals has built a growing intellectual property portfolio and currently holds five granted patents across India, the United States, Russia, Mexico and Australia.

An EU patent for its Aqueol technology is in the final stages of approval. The company has also filed patents for four other proprietary platform technologies across seven major countries and is actively working towards filing three additional patents.

The company is expanding its commercial presence across India, South-East Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Russia-CIS and Latin America, while also planning strategic collaborations in the United States and Europe.

Leadership Perspective

Commenting on the milestone, K. V. Rambabu, Founder and Managing Director, Pulse Pharmaceuticals, said:

“For us, nanotechnology has never been about technology for technology’s sake. Our purpose has always been to identify important unmet needs in drug delivery and develop practical solutions that can make a meaningful difference to patients.”

Highlighting the significance of an India-originated technology reaching this stage, he added:

“India has demonstrated its ability to become the pharmacy of the world. The next opportunity is to become a stronger source of pharmaceutical innovation for the world.”
