Hyderabad, March 25, 2026: in a significant advancement in orthopedic healthcare, the revolutionary PANOSCOPY technology has been launched in India for the first time at KIMS Sunshine Hospitals, Begumpet. This cutting-edge innovation is set to transform the diagnosis and treatment of joint-related conditions, particularly in the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and knee. It is also expected to greatly enhance the management of sports injuries such as ligament tears, muscle injuries, and tendon disorders, ensuring more precise and efficient treatment outcomes.

The technology was officially introduced during a press conference held on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. A.V. Gurava Reddy, Chief Robotic Joint Replacement Surgeon, Chairman of Sunshine Bone and Joint Institute, and Managing Director of KIMS Sunshine Hospitals, highlighted the limitations of traditional arthroscopy. He explained that while arthroscopy has been effective, its restricted field of vision can sometimes make it challenging to identify complex or deep-seated joint issues. PANOSCOPY technology, however, offers a significantly wider and clearer view of the joint, enabling comprehensive examination, accurate diagnosis, and improved surgical precision.

Dr. Chandrasekhar, Director of Shoulder Surgery and Sports Surgery at KIMS Sunshine Hospitals, emphasized that PANOSCOPY technology represents a major breakthrough in orthopedic surgery. He noted that the technology allows surgeons to detect previously hidden injuries and perform complex procedures with enhanced accuracy. It is particularly beneficial in treating conditions such as shoulder dislocations, rotator cuff tears, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, and knee ligament injuries. He further added that patients are likely to experience faster recovery and better long-term outcomes with this advanced approach.

A key advantage of PANOSCOPY technology is its ability to eliminate blind spots within the joint, providing a complete internal view. This ensures that even minor or concealed injuries are accurately identified and treated, leading to improved surgical success rates and superior patient care.

With the introduction of PANOSCOPY technology, Sunshine Bone and Joint Institute continues to lead in adopting advanced medical innovations. Bringing this technology to India for the first time marks a proud milestone and reinforces the institute’s commitment to delivering world-class orthopedic care.
