Hyderabad 17th October 2022: On the occasion of World Trauma Day, Sunshine Bone and Joint Institute an
enterprise of kims hospital organized an innovative awareness program in
prevention of accidents and subsequent trauma.
Speaking on the occasion Dr A V Gurava Reddy Chief Joint Replacement
Surgeon Kims Sunshine Hospital said that doctors, people and police should
work together to prevent road accidents. According to worldwide statistics, it
is said that India is in the top 3 of accidents. He said that Telugu states are in
the top 5. He also emphasised that 30-40 percent of accidents can be
prevented if human errors are avoided. Most of the accidents are happening
due to drunken driving, not obeying traffic rules, signal jumping, not wearing
seat belt and helmet. So everyone should wear helmet, do not ride triple, and
do not travel by hanging on the bus which is dangerous. He advised not to
travel when feeling sleepy. Dr Gurava Reddy also advise not to drive at nights
for long journeys unless and until its urgent.
Later, Begumpet Traffic Inspector S.Anand said that everyone should
follow traffic rules and create awareness . Later Dr.A.V.Gurava Reddy along
with Traffic CI Mr.Anand flagged off special truck fitted with mangled vehicle to
create awareness in general public in preventing accidents.
Under the auspices of Kim's Sunshine Hospital, Secunderabad, doctors
from trauma team Dr.Chandrabhushan, Dr.Subramanyam, Dr.Kamalakar Rao,
Dr.Vijayakumar Reddy, Dr.Rajasekhar Pappu, Dr.Harsha, Dr.Yashashvini &
Dr.Anji Reddy and Mr.Saurabh Gupta RCOO took part in the awareness
program.
